March 13, 2012 | During the week of March 5, 2012, Disney Channel delivered a clean sweep in Total Day, ranking as cable TV’s #1 network in Total Viewers (1.559 million) and TV’s #1 network in Kids 2-11 (888,000/2.2 rating), Kids 6-11 (551,000/2.2 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (461,000/1.9 rating). This marked Disney Channel’s 39th consecutive week as TV’s #1 network in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 – dating back to week of June 13, 2011 – a personal record for the network. In Kids 2-11, this marked Disney Channel’s 2nd consecutive week at #1 in Kids 2-11 (888,000/2.2 rating), and its 5th time in the previous 6 weeks.

March 13, 2012 | Once more, Cartoon Network claimed television's #1 network for the week among boys (2-11, 6-11, 9-14) in Early Evening Prime (7-9 p.m.), charting remarkable double-digit delivery growth across all kids demos in both Prime and Total Day ranging between 21% and 39%. In Prime (7-9 p.m.), average kids 2-11 delivery (957,000) grew by 36%, kids 6-11 (685,000) by 39% and kids 9-14 (524,000) by 30%. In Total Day, average kids 2-11 (553,000) grew by 21%, kids 6-11 (349,000) by 30% and kids 9-14 (267,000) by 27%.

Recently nominated for its second Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Short-format Animated Program as well as an Annie Award for Best Animated Television Production for Children, Adventure Time has become a genuine ratings and pop culture phenomenon since its April 2010 debut. - Disney Channel Renews “Austin & Ally” for Second Season
March 12, 2012 | Disney Channel has ordered a second season of the hit music-driven comedy series "Austin & Ally," it was announced today by Adam Bonnett, Senior Vice President, Original Programming, Disney Channels Worldwide. The series premiered in December 2011 and year to-date, ranks #1 in its time period among Kids 2-11, 6-11 and Tweens. It follows the improbable partnership between two polar opposites -- Austin, an extroverted musician/singer and Ally, a brilliant yet shy songwriter -- and their two best friends, Trish and Dez.

March 12, 2012 | School's out, surf's up and Disney Channel is taking a dip into the teen beach party movie genre with "Teen Beach Musical," a modern "no more complications, just good vibrations," break into song and dance comedy in which surfer girl McKenzie and her boyfriend Brady literally go into a classic surf movie musical where it's bikers versus surfers -- and they're in for trouble if they don't back down. While they hatch a plan to get back home to present day, the duo try to blend in as everyone around them spontaneously breaks into song and dance. But when they interfere with the plot of the movie, their fate may be changed forever.
