Pluto TV Drops Several Kids Channels, Nickelodeon Channels Expand

Today, Pluto TV has shut down at least seven of their live channels, including four under the kids category.

The channels that were discontinued this morning around 11:00am ET were:

– Rainbow Squad
– No Parents Allowed
– Team Spirit
– Grande-ish
– Pluto TV Pranks
– More TV Game Shows
– Pluto TV Home

Most of the programs that ran on these channels are still available on Pluto TV’s On Demand section.

The final programs on those channels featured in the video include:

– Rainbow Squad (Braceface)
– No Parents Allowed (H2O: Just Add Water)
– Team Spirit (Sonic Boom)

“No Parents Allowed” was the oldest of these channels, which launched in 2019 as “TV Tween”.

With “No Parents Allowed” gone, so are three Nickelodeon game shows from Pluto: Figure It Out (2012), Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader (2019) and Paradise Run. Those are not available On Demand, as none of Nick’s programs are. They are only available to watch through Pluto’s live stream channels. Legends of the Hidden Temple and Nickelodeon GUTS used to run on “No Parents Allowed”, but moved over to the new “Nickelodeon 90s Kids 2” channel in April.

In other Pluto TV news: The “Nickelodeon iCarly TV” channel, which has aired non-stop iCarly (2007) since April 1st when the channel rebranded from “Nickelodeon Totally Teen”, but has gone back to airing VICTORiOUS as of today.

Also, last month the “Nickelodeon Totally Turtles” channel started running a new line-up that features Invader ZIM, Jimmy Neutron, Danny Phantom and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) every weekday. Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra still marathon there every weekend.

Back in April, the “Nickelodeon 90s Kids 2” launched (as a rebrand of the preschool channel “Nickelodeon Zoom! Zoom!”) and has featured a large variety of older Nick programming, including Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, All Grown Up, Rocket Power, Family Double Dare, Big Time Rush, The Amanda Show, KaBlam!, and more.
