Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce has passed away at the age of 20.

Boyce started his Disney TV career in 2011 as Luke Ross on Jessie. The show lasted four seasons and ended in 2015. He went on to star in the short-lived Disney XD comedy Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything that year. He also guest starred in two episodes of the Jessie spin-off BUNK’D.

Cameron Boyce also played Carlos in the Descendants trilogy, the last part of which is scheduled to premiere on August 2.

Elsewhere on Disney, he starred as one of the voices of Jake in the Disney Junior series Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and he also lent his voice to one episode of the animated Marvel’s Spider-Man series.

Boyce passed away in his sleep “due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated”.
