Disney Channel’s Disney Junior Outshines Nickelodeon Head to Head in Competitive Preschool Hours for the 10th Consecutive Week in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5 and Boys 2-5, and the 12th Straight Week in Women 18-49

Block Delivers the Top 3 Preschool Cable TV Series in Kids 2-5 and Moms for 8th Straight Week with “Doc McStuffins,” “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”

For the week of July 30, 2012, Disney Junior’s “Doc McStuffins” on Disney Channel ranked as the #1 preschool cable TV series in Kids 2-5 (652,000/3.9 rating), Girls 2-5 (350,000/4.3 rating) and Women 18-49 (339,000/0.5 rating) for the 8th consecutive week, and was also the #1 cable preschool series for the week in Boys 2-5 (302,000/3.5 rating).

In competitive preschool hours, Disney Channel surpassed Nickelodeon by double-digit margins in Total Viewers (54% – 1.50 million vs. 977,000), Kids 2-5 (34% – 378,000 vs. 283,000), Girls 2-5 (38% – 198,000 vs. 143,000) and Boys 2-5 (29% – 180,000 vs. 140,000), and also led in Women 18-49 (7% – 261,000 vs. 245,000). This marked Disney Channel’s 10th consecutive week out-performing Nickelodeon in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5 and Boys 2-5, the 8th straight in Girls 2-5 and the 12th in Women 18-49.

  • With “Doc McStuffins,” “Jake and the Never Land Pirates” and “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” the Disney Junior block held the week’s Top 3 preschool cable TV series in Kids 2-5, Girls 2-5 and Women 18-49 (varying order).
