Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for August 1 – 7, 2011

Across the first week of August 2011, Cartoon Network’s Total Day performance posted gains over the same time period last year – average kids 6-11 delivery (464,000) increased by 20%, kids 2-11 (694,000) increased by 12% and kids 9-14 (300,000) increased by 8%. Cartoon Network’s Early Evening performance grew across the board as well – kids 6-11 (558,000) grew by 13%, kids 2-11 (809,000) grew by 3% and kids 9-14 (359,000) grew by 6%.

Cartoon Network’s Monday night (7-9 p.m.) charted as TV’s #1 destination for boys 6-11, 2-11 and 9-14, earning double-digit gains vs. the first week of August last year. Animated comedy series Johnny Test (7 p.m.), The Amazing World of Gumball (7:30 p.m.), Adventure Time (8 p.m.), Regular Show (8:30 p.m.) and Secret Mountain Fort Awesome (8:30 p.m.) all ranked #1 in their respective timeslots among all key boy demos and all earned double and triple-digit gains among kids and boys.

Wednesday night (7-9 p.m.) saw delivery increases among all key kid and boy demos. A new episode of live-action series Destroy Build Destroy (8:30 p.m.) ranked # 1 among all key boy demos and charted significant delivery gains – kids 6-11 (640,000) grew by 36%, kids 2-11 (762,000) grew by 5%, and kids 9-14 (423,000) grew by 15%. Additionally, a new episode of the live-action series Dude, What Would Happen? (8p.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among boys 6-11 and 9-14.
