Victorious Star Victoria Justice Reveals Her Wild Side in The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, a Nickelodeon Television Movie Event Premiering Saturday, Oct. 23 at 8:00 pm (ET/PT)

BROOKE SHIELDS ALSO STARS AS STOIC ROMANIAN HOUSEKEEPER MADAME VARCOLAC IN HALLOWEEN THEMED TEEN COMEDY

NEW YORK, Sept. 27 — Nickelodeon’s newest rising teen star Victoria Justice (Victorious) will headline her first-ever television movie, The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, a teen comedy with a sci-fi twist premiering Saturday, Oct. 23, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). The original primetime movie follows Jordan Sands (Justice), a shy and unpopular teen who, through an accident, is transformed into a werewolf during a visit to Wolfsberg, Romania where her family has inherited an ancient castle. Brooke Shields (Lipstick Jungle) also stars as stern Romanian housekeeper Madame Varcolac, the longtime proprietor of the castle who is the only one privy to all of its peculiarities.

“Our audience will love seeing Victoria in this new role as shrinking-violet-turned-werewolf,” said Marjorie Cohn, President, Original Programming and Development, Nickelodeon. “And Brooke Shields’ turn as the hilariously sinister Madame Varcolac is a wonderful homage to Young Frankenstein’s infamous Frau Blucher. This movie blends mystery, suspense and comedy and serves up a perfect Halloween viewing experience for kids and their parents.”

Since Victorious’ April 11 premiere in its regular timeslot, it has been the #1 program in the Sunday 8:00 p.m. time period with kids 2-11 and kids 6-11.

Jordan Sands (Justice) is an awkward, allergy-prone 17-year-old, forced to be the woman of the house after her mother’s death. Her father, David (Matt Winston, Little Miss Sunshine), is struggling to make ends meet, while her younger brother, Hunter (Chase Ellison, Tooth Fairy), drives his family crazy with gory pranks. Things start to look up when they inherit their Great Uncle Dragomir Vucovic’s castle in Wolfsberg, Romania, which could relieve them of their financial woes.

After arriving in Wolfsberg during Moonlight Mania, which honors the infamous Wolfsberg Beast, they meet the strange and steely Madame Varcolac (Shields) who currently cares for Uncle Dragomir’s ancient castle. Having spent most of her life as the Wolfsberg Manor housekeeper, Madame V discourages David from selling the property, but perky real estate agent Paulina Von Eckberg (Brooke D’Orsay, Royal Pains) has other plans in mind. Not everything is what it seems in this town and the Sands’ visit goes awry when a freak lab accident gradually transforms Jordan into a werewolf. As her body changes, so does her personality, and she becomes a graceful, athletic, self-confident young woman. But Jordan’s dark, hairy side is dangerous to others, and the change confuses her new suitor, Goran (Steven Grayhm), the town’s young, attractive butcher. In order to salvage her crush and return back to her normal self, Jordan must rely on her pesky little brother and Madame V to save her before it’s too late.

The Boy Who Cried Werewolf is executive produced by Doug Sloan (Dadnapped) and Lauren Levine (Bridge to Terabithia, Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh), is written by Doug Sloan and Art Brown and directed by Eric Bross.
