It’s A Zany Insany April On Kids’ WB!

(March 31, 2003 – Burbank, CA) — It’s craaazy…insany…it’s big, wild and zany!! Kids’ WB! goes HUGE during the entire month of the Zany Insany April – with wacky Saturday morning events, wild special guest-stars and awesome Monday-Friday “zany insany” giveaways.

THE SATURDAY MORNING MADCAP EVENTS: begin to unravel on Saturday, April 5, as the anime-adventure series “Yu-Gi-Oh!” presents three unforgettable weeks of two-part sagas, airing at 8:30 a.m. ET and 11:00 a.m. ET each Saturday. “The Mystery Duelist – Parts 1 & 2” will air on April 5; “Yugi vs. The Rare Hunter – Parts 1 & 2” will run on April 12; and “Playing with a Parasite – Parts 1 & 2” will play-out on April 19.

Don’t miss the rappin’ fun on Saturday, April 12, as the network gets the party started with the hip-happenin’ “Kids’ WB! U Rhyme It, We Rap It Rap-A-Thon” – presenting original rap songs written by kids across the country and performed by some of Kids’ WB!’s favorite characters. Kids nationwide will be able to log onto KidsWB.com, vote for their favorite rap and then tune in to see the top Kids’ WB! raps the following Saturday. As the network celebrates these “up and coming artists” of the future, Kids’ WB! welcomes “Larger Than Life” Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean in an encore presentation of his first Kids’ WB! animated guest appearance on “Static Shock” (10:30 a.m. ET), in the episode entitled “Duped.” The synthesizing episode will include the voice talents of actor Malcolm-Jamal Warner (“Jeremiah,” “The Cosby Show”) and rapper/actor Coolio (“Gangsta’s Paradise,” “Charmed”).

Kids’ WB! takes it up a notch with its 2ND annual gross-out-loud “Burpilicious Belch-A-Thon 2003” on Saturday, April 19, with some of the best burps and belches out of kids nationwide…and some of Kids’ WB!’s characters! In addition, Kids’ WB!’s Saturday morning line-up will feature hip-hop musician Lil’ Romeo as he makes his much-anticipated animated appearance on Static Shock, in the episode entitled “Romeo in the Mix,” that also will feature the hit songs “Play Like Us” and “Bring It” from his latest album, Game Time. In the high-adventure episode, the super rapper guest-stars as himself and joins forces with Static in an attempt to defeat the Leech – a metahuman that is stealing metahuman powers. Lil’ Romeo already heats up the airwaves with his original rap performance of “Static Shock’s” new main title song, co-written with his father Master P, for this electrifying third season.

SATURDAY MORNING PROGRAMS ON MONDAY-FRIDAY AFTERNOONS: To make things a little more craaazy, kids will be able to watch some of their favorite Saturday morning shows on weekdays throughout April – a different series each week in the Monday-Friday 3:30 p.m. ET/PT time period. The special weekday line-ups begin with the hilarious buddy-cop comedy “Ozzy & Drix” highlighting the afternoons the week of March 31-April 4. “The Mummy: Secrets of the Medjai” will unearth the afternoons when the around-the-world adventure airs April 7-11. The week of April 14-18 will get a bolt of electricity with the high-adventure “Static Shock” airing at 3:30 p.m. ET/PT. All wackiness lets lose when the over-the-top comedy “¡Mucha Lucha!” introduces the world of masked wrestling to the weekday line-up during April 21-25. The all-original “X-Men: Evolution” brings the mutant superheroes back to the afternoon line-up the week of April 28-May 2.

THE WEEKDAY “ZANY INSANY APRIL GIVEAWAY:” Beginning on Monday, March 31, Kids’ WB! will offer kids the chance to win in-a-big-big-way during the weekday Zany Insany April Giveaway all month long. Kids’ WB! will give kids the opportunity to win thousands of BIG prizes with Zany watch-and-win sweepstakes each week that will include five Grand Prizes – one grand prize winner each day – and 500 weekly prizes.
