Santa Monica, CA – Jan. 15, 2002 — Nickelodeon’s longest-running live action series, All That, revs up for its seventh season with an all new format, including a weekly celebrity host and an all new kid cast. The fun begins Saturday, January 19 in the newly revamped SNICK (Saturday Night Nickelodeon) line-up at 8p.m. (ET/PT) when All That introduces a fresh-faced new cast performing original, over-the-top sketches, a celebrity host each week and musical performances by today’s hottest hip-hop, rap and pop artists.

“All That has become a pipeline for showcasing and developing some of today’s most talented young comedians,” said Kevin Kay, Executive Vice President of Production, Nickelodeon. “We celebrate its legacy as the only sketch-comedy series for kids featuring kids by bringing it back for another season revitalized with even more energy and more celebrity guests.”

A new, weekly celebrity host format features a star from television, film, music or sports opening the show and participating in some of the sketches. Headlining this year’s All That host roster are Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina The Teenage Witch; Drive Me Crazy), Frankie Muniz (Malcolm in the Middle), skateboarding guru Tony Hawk, David Arquette (See Spot Run; Scream; Scream 2 & 3) musical artists Britney Spears and Aaron Carter, Will Friedle (Boy Meets World), Kenan Thompson (Good Burger; Kenan & Kel), Amanda Bynes (Nickelodeon’s The Amanda Show) and Christina Vidal (Nickelodeon’s Taina). Star-studded musical performances this season include Britney Spears, P. Diddy, Usher, Nelly Furtado, Mandy Moore, Aaron Carter, Tyrese, LFO, Christina Milian, City High, Samantha Mumba and Willa Ford.

“We are really excited about this season’s changes and especially our dynamic new cast,” said Brian Robbins, Creator/Executive Producer of All That. “Their level of talent lives up to the high standards set in previous seasons. We’re proud to present the next generation of stars from the show that has a history of breaking some of today’s hottest talents.”

The fresh crop of talented young comedic actors joining the cast this season are: 13-year-old Kyle Sullivan (Malcolm in the Middle, Tuesdays With Morrie); 13-year-old Bryan Hearne (Paramount’s feature film Hardball, Third Watch); 15-year-old Lisa Renee Foiles (Even Stevens); 14-year-old Jack DeSena; 16-year-old Giovonnie Samuels (Boston Public); 13-year-old Shane Lyons (E.R.) and 14-year-old Chelsea Brummet.

Over the years, All That has emerged as a pipeline for young, up-and-coming comedic artists including Kenan Thompson (Kenan & Kel, Good Burger, Felicity), Kel Mitchell (Kenan & Kel, Good Burger, Mystery Man), Amanda Bynes (The Amanda Show, Universal’s upcoming feature film Pay or Play ) and Nick Cannon (host of Nickelodeon’s TEENick block). Some A-List celebrities featured on the show in previous seasons include Lauren Hill, Busta Rhymes, Kobe Bryant, Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Sugar Ray, Mya, Brandy, Chris Farley, John Leguizamo and Shaquille O’Neal.

In this season’s premiere episode, celebrity guest Frankie Muniz hosts and plays himself in a recurring sketch called “Sugar & Coffee” featuring fast-talking TV show host Kaffy (Foiles) and her sidekick Buzz (Sullivan) who over-indulge in coffee and sugar. Other segments include: “Comin’ At Ya,” a skit blending gooey concoctions such as cherries, worms and mustard; “Rate the Pain,” the ultimate human pain tolerance test; “Live: From The Toilet,” featuring a bizarre take on celebrity performances and “Toy ER,” a kid-parody of the TV hit “ER.” Musical artist Aaron Carter performs. Future episodes will feature “Vocabulary With Lisa,” a ventriloquist-focused skit featuring the dummy Oswald and “Harry Bladder,” a spoof of the popular Harry Potter children’s books series.

The highly acclaimed, half-hour sketch-comedy series — praised by critics for its pint-sized Saturday Night Live comedic quality — has successfully anchored Nickelodeon’s SNICK programming block since its debut in 1995. Since then, All That has been the highest rated program among Kids 6-11 in its time slot. Each week, 4.3 million kids watch All That.

Mike Tollin and Brian Robbins of Tollin Robbins Productions created All That. Tollin, Robbins and Dan Schneider serve as Executive Producers. Returning to All That at the creative helm as showrunner is Dan Schneider, one of the creative forces behind the show’s original first four seasons, as well as Kenan & Kel and The Amanda Show.

As long time producers for Nickelodeon, TRP’s other projects for the network include All That, Cousin Skeeter, Kenan & Kel and The Amanda Show, as well as the Nickelodeon Movies’ 1997 feature film Good Burger. They are also the creative team responsible for the popular television series ARLI$$ on HBO, now in its sixth season, and WB’s Smallville.

TRP’s feature-film credits include MTV’s Varsity Blues and Warner Bros. Summer Catch starring Freddie Prinze, Jr., Jessica Biel and Brian Dennehy; Paramount’s Hardball with Keanu Reeves; and Universal’s Big Fat Liar starring Frankie Muniz and Amanda Bynes.
