Posted on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 by BryanThroughout the fourth week of May, Cartoon Network’s weekly early evening (7-9 p.m.) delivery increased across all kids demos vs. the same time period last year: kids 6-11 delivery (571,000) increased by 10%, kids 2-11 delivery (810,000) increased by 5%, and kids 9-14 delivery (421,000) increased by 16%. In Total Day, kids 6-11 average delivery (303,000) grew by 1%, and kids 9-14 delivery (230,000) grew by 7%. -

Cartoon Network March 2011 Ratings Highlights
Posted on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 by BryanCartoon Network was the #1 destination on Monday nights (7-9 p.m.) for boys 6-11 and boys 9-14 across March 2011. All kids and boys demos earned substantial year over year ratings and delivery growth over the same time period last year, ranging between 26% and 95%. Among individual series, Adventure Time (8 p.m.) scored impressive increases across the board, ranging between 63% and 147%. MAD (8:15 p.m.) garnered between 58% and 163% growth across all kids and boys demos. And Regular Show (8:30 p.m.) charted similar improvement between 30% and 145%. -

Posted on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 by BryanSpringboarding off its 2010 ratings growth across key kids and boys demos, in which series/specials Adventure Time, Dude, What Would Happen, Generator Rex and Hall of Game helped propel the network to new heights, Cartoon Network described its plans for building new global franchises today as it unveiled a broad slate of new content for 2011 at its annual Advertising Upfront presentation. Thirteen new animated series, 19 returning shows, and the network’s newest live-action scripted comedy series, Level Up, which will launch with a 90-minute original movie, will debut over the next year. The morning’s announcements also spotlighted a new partnership between Warner Bros., DC Entertainment and Cartoon Network in which the three entertainment brands would unite their powerful assets in publishing, theatrical and television to create a multi-platform block of exclusive branded original content on the network named, DC Nation. -

Posted on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 by BryanCartoon Network’s February 2011 early evening prime performance out-paced its January ’11 performance across ALL kids demos: average kids 6-11 delivery (562,000) grew by 8% and ratings (2.3) by 10%, kids 2-11 delivery (829,000) and ratings (2.0) both grew by 5%, and kids 9-14 delivery (431,000) grew by 14% and ratings (1.8) by 13%. Versus February the previous year, the network’s performance among kids 9-14 delivery also increased by 14% and ratings by 20%. -

Friday 2/18 Cable Ratings: “Wizards” Over 5 Million, “Star Wars” Under 2 Million

Compared to the 2010 time period, average early evening prime time kids 6-11 delivery (603,000) grew by 3% and kids 9-14 delivery (446,000) by 18%; vs. the prior four weeks, kids 6-11 delivery increased by 12%, kids 2-11 delivery (883,000) by 8% and kids 9-14 delivery by 15%. In Total Day, average kids 6-11 delivery (359,000) grew by 5% and kids 9-14 delivery (252,000) by 8%; vs. the prior four weeks, kids 6-11 delivery increased by 11%, kids 2-11 delivery (559,000) by 9% and kids 9-14 delivery by 7%. -

The animated action-adventure block earned 29% delivery gains among kids 9-14 (468,000) and 27% ratings gains (1.9). Across the block, boys 9-14 delivery (391,000) surged by 44% and ratings (3.1) by 41%, while boys 6-11 delivery (464,000) grew by 4% and ratings (3.7) by 6%. -

Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for 4th Quarter 2010
Posted on Friday, December 31, 2010 by BryanComparing 4th Quarter 2010 to its 4th Quarter 2009 performance, Cartoon Network’s prime time delivery and ratings increased across all kid demos—average kids 6-11 delivery (530,000) grew by 6% and ratings (2.1) by 5%, kids 2-11 delivery (770,000) grew by 4% and ratings (1.9) by 6%, and kids 9-14 delivery (403,000) grew by 4% and ratings (1.7) by 6%. The network’s quarterly performance with boys also charted gains vs. last year: boys 6-11 delivery (404,000) grew by 13% and ratings (3.2) by 14%, boys 2-11 delivery (547,000) grew by 9% and ratings (2.6) by 8%, and boys 9-14 delivery (304,000) grew by 8% and ratings (2.4) by 4%.
