During the week of April 25, Disney Channel ranked as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day among Tweens 9-14 (429,000/1.8 rating – tie) for the 20th time in the previous 22 weeks, delivering the week’s Top 4 TV telecasts with all-new episodes of “Shake It Up” and “Good Luck Charlie” and encores of original movie “Lemonade Mouth.”

The movie joins the powerhouse franchise that has delivered cable TV’s No. 1 original movie telecast in Total Viewers for the past four years and TV’s No. 1original movie among Tweens 9-14 for the past nine years.

Themes of believing in yourself, following your dreams, celebrating family and staying true to yourself are explored in the triumphant, music-driven “Lemonade Mouth,” a Disney Channel Original Movie based on the book of the same name, set to premiere FRIDAY, MARCH 25 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, president, Entertainment, and chief creative officer, Disney Channels Worldwide. Production Has Begun On A New Disney Channel Original Movie, “Lemonade Mouth”

Production has begun in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on the music-driven “Lemonade Mouth,” a Disney Channel Original Movie that tells kids and tweens that building your confidence rocks and finding your destiny rules. The story follows five disparate high school students who meet in detention, realize they are destined to rock, and ultimately form a band that becomes a champion for students sidelined by the high school elite. The blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise has produced basic cable’s #1 movie with Kids 6-11 and/or Tweens from 2002-09.
