World-renowned actor, producer and recording artist Will Smith (I Am Legend, The Pursuit of Happyness and the upcoming Men in Black III) will host Nickelodeon’s 25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards, airing live on Saturday, March 31, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/tape delayed for West Coast) from the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles, California. Smith, a ten-time Blimp Award winner, will be joined by Hollywood’s biggest stars in an unforgettable, special anniversary slimefest where kids rule.

Nickelodeon’s “Kids’ Choice Awards 2011″ Scores 7.3 Million Viewers; New “VICTORiOUS” Hits Series High

Nickelodeon’s 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards (Saturday, April 2, 8-9:30 p.m. ET/PT), featured a slime-tastic return by host actor/comedian Jack Black and ranks as basic cable’s top telecast for the week (March 28, 2011–April 3, 2011) with 7.3 million total viewers. The show also ranks as the week’s top telecast with kids and tweens on all TV, averaging a 9.8/3.5 million K2-11, 12.7/2.7 million K6-11 and 11.7/2.5 million T9-14. The telecast also ranks as the most-watched kids’ show on all TV with viewers (P2+), year to date.

Kids’ Choice Awards 2011 Winners

Mega-stars including Johnny Depp, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, The Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus, Jennette McCurdy, Eddie Murphy and Shaquille O’Neal reigned as this year’s favorites, winning top honors at Nickelodeon’s 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards live telecast, Saturday, April 2, 8-9:30 p.m. (ET/tape delayed for West Coast). Hosted by actor/comedian Jack Black and broadcast from the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles, kids’ top choices in television, movies, music and sports were revealed via slime slushie, cheerleader and a bear on a unicycle. Black proved that nothing was going to get in the way of his arriving at the venue – especially not a long limo line – by making a grand entrance in the Kids’ Choice monster truck. With the help of a dancing flash mob along the orange carpet, he kicked off the slime-fest with a rockin’ rendition of The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling.” The KCA and Grammy Award-winning chart toppers then took center stage with a medley of hit songs “Just Can’t Get Enough” and “The Time” featuring Black, the honorary Pea.
