Disney/ABC Television Group’s Digital Media team is launching “Disney Super Speedway,” a new racer game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Fans can burn rubber as animated characters from hit Disney Channel animated series, including “Phineas and Ferb,” “Gravity Falls” and “Fish Hooks,” and Disney XD’s “Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja,” “Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil” and “Motorcity.” The game is also available at DisneyChannel.com/Race and DisneyXD.com/Race.

Today is the start of Memorial Day Weekend and as usual TV networks like the schedule special marathons and premieres. Inside is a network-by-network rundown of this weekend’s events.
The nominees for the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced this morning. The categories with nominees from Nickelodeon (25 total nominations), The Hub (8), Disney Channel (5), Disney XD (3), Nick Jr. (3) and Cartoon Network (2) are listed below.
During 1Q11, Disney XD delivered its largest quarterly audience in the network’s history in Total Day (includes Toon Disney) in Total Viewers (288,000) and across all key kid targets: Kids 6-14 (147,000), Boys 6-14 (95,000), Kids 6-11 (120,000), Boys 6-11 (77,000), Tweens 9-14 (93,000) and Tween Boys (60,000).
Disney XD’s hit animated series, “Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil,” begins its star-studded second season with NBA star Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic) in a guest starring role, SATURDAY, APRIL 30 (8:30 a.m., ET/PT). The sophomore season premiere also guest stars Emmanuelle Chriqui (“Entourage”).
After delivering a year of best-ever ratings across each of its kid-driven, family inclusive platforms, and deepening its strong connection with kids and parents, especially moms, Disney showcased an unprecedented amount of new programming that’s to come — an expanded slate of 13 new original series (part of 435 total original episodes in 2011, a 30% increase from last year, not including acquisitions) and additional new titles in the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise at its annual presentation to advertisers today at New York’s Gotham Hall.
It’s tradition that every time a national holiday allows for kids nationwide to be out of school, television networks schedule special marathons and premieres for the day. Today is no different. Here’s a rundown of the specials, marathons and premieres happening today:

Nicktoons, Nickelodeon’s 24/7 animation channel, which is in about 15 million homes less than Disney XD (57 vs. 72 million) scored total day victories over the Disney digital cable channel this past Labor Day weekend in kids and tweens demos.
The 62nd Primetime Emmy Award Nominations were announced today. Cartoon Network scored 8 nominations, Disney Channel received 5 and Nickelodeon got 2.

There are so many new episodes on TV this coming week that I just had to make a list of them all so you wouldn’t forget! Here’s what’s new this week on Nickelodeon, Nicktoons, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel and Disney XD:
Disney XD will present a ‘Night of Premieres’ on MONDAY, JUNE 21 (7:30-9:30 p.m., ET/PT) featuring new episodes of its top-rated series for kids and tweens. The night will kick off with back-to-back episodes of “Kick Buttowski-Suburban Daredevil.” Immediately following, a special hour-long episode of “Zeke and Luther” will debut.
Disney XD has ordered a second season of the hit animated series Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil. The second season will be ready for air in spring 2011.
