iCarly fans will finally be able to put a face to the much talked-about name when Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch (Glee) guest-stars as Pam Puckett, Sam’s never-before-seen, eccentric mother, in “iSam’s Mom,” premiering Saturday, Sept. 11, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. When tempers boil over during an argument between Sam and Pam, Sam unexpectedly moves in with Carly and Spencer. She quickly overstays her welcome and it’s up to Carly to figure out how to bring the feisty mother-daughter duo back together. Nickelodeon’s iCarly ranks as the number-one live-action series on television with kids 2-11 and is the network’s top show among kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14 year-to-date.

Nickelodeon closes August as basic cable’s number-one total day network with kids 2-11 and total viewers, while also scoring its most-watched month ever with total viewers. According to Nielsen Media Research (7/26/10-8/29/10), Nickelodeon averaged 2.5 million total viewers and a 3.7/1.3 million kids 2-11 for the month and was up double digits with kids 6-11 (+12%) and tweens 9-14 (+16%).

Nickelodeon delivered a sizzling summer surprise with iCarly’s “iGot a Hot Room” (Friday, July 30, at 8 p.m. ET/PT), giving fans a never-before-seen look at Carly’s bedroom. The half-hour episode scored basic cable’s top spot for the week (7/26/10-8/1/10) with total viewers (7.7 million) and also ranked as the number-one telecast with all kid and tween demos. The premiere also was the top telecast on broadcast and basic cable on Friday with viewers P2+ and all kid and tween demos–averaging an 11.0/3.9 million K2-11, a 14.2/3.0 million K6-11 and a 14.0/3.0 million T9-14. Year to date, iCarly ranks as the top series on all TV with kids 2-11.
