Nickelodeon is 2010′s Top-Ranked Cable Network, Marks 16 Years as Number One
Posted on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 by BryanDriven by ratings juggernauts iCarly and SpongeBob SquarePants, Nickelodeon will finish 2010 in first place among all basic cable networks in total day–for the 16th straight year–among total viewers (P2+) and all kid demos, for the year to date (12/28/09-12/12/10) according to Nielsen Media Research. Nickelodeon also closes the year averaging 2.3 million viewers P2+ and a 3.5/1.2 million K2-11, 3.1/680,000 K6-11, 2.3/498,000 T9-14, besting the closest competitor by double-digits with all key kid demos and total viewers. -
Nickelodeon Networks’ Halloween 2010 Schedule Highlights

The festivities kick off as Big Time Rush undergoes frightful transformations in the premiere of “Big Time Halloween” on Friday, Oct. 22, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT), followed by a weeklong stunt of Halloween-themed live-action and animated shows from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday, Oct. 25, through Friday, Oct. 29. -

Posted on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 by BryanNickelodeon closes August as basic cable’s number-one total day network with kids 2-11 and total viewers, while also scoring its most-watched month ever with total viewers. According to Nielsen Media Research (7/26/10-8/29/10), Nickelodeon averaged 2.5 million total viewers and a 3.7/1.3 million kids 2-11 for the month and was up double digits with kids 6-11 (+12%) and tweens 9-14 (+16%). -

Following a new original two-hour TV movie titled “The Heat is On” airing Monday, July 19 (9 pm ET), Degrassi will premiere in a prime-time serialized format for six straight weeks (Mondays-Thursdays at 9 pm ET) through August 26. Additionally, TeenNick will air a weekly two-hour encore of the week’s past episodes each Friday night (9-11 pm ET). -
