Nickelodeon Ratings Highlights for November 2010
Posted on Thursday, December 2, 2010 by BryanNickelodeon notched another win as the top basic cable network for kids and total viewers in November, according to Nielsen Media Research (11/1/10-11/28/10) for total day. Nick at Nite and Nickelodeon’s digital networks posted strong monthly performances as well: Nick at Nite scored its most-watched November ever among total viewers and was number one among Women 18-49; and Nicktoons and TeenNick each reached record November performances among their respective key demos. -
The Second Annual “TeenNick HALO Awards” Premiere Friday, December 10
Posted on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 by BryanTeenNick, Nickelodeon's 24-hour TV network exclusively for and about teens and tweens, will partner with mega-stars Mariah Carey, Ashton Kutcher, Rosario Dawson and Wyclef Jean to recognize four deserving teens who are philanthropic leaders in their communities in the second annual TeenNick HALO Awards. Conceived, hosted and executive produced by TeenNick Chairman Nick Cannon, the hour-long special that honors real-life teens who are "Helping And Leading Others" (HALO) will premiere Friday, Dec. 10, at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on TeenNick, followed by an encore on Nick at Nite at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). TeenNick partnered with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) to provide the grants and scholarships awarded to each HALO honoree. -
TeenNick Adds “Malcolm in the Middle” This November

According to Nielsen Media Research (7/26/10-8/29/10), Nickelodeon averaged 2.5 million total viewers and a 3.7/1.3 million kids 2-11 for the month and was up double digits with kids 6-11 (+12%) and tweens 9-14 (+16%). -
Nick Cannon Extends Stay As TeenNick Chairman Through January 2012

At the helm since March 2009, Cannon will continue his role in front of the camera and behind the desk of TeenNick, Nickelodeon's 24-hour network exclusively for and about teens and tweens, to help develop, produce and create original programming across the channel's multiple platforms. -
Nickelodeon Names Keith Dawkins Senior Vice President, General Manager of Nicktoons and TeenNick

In his newly expanded role, Dawkins will add oversight of TeenNick, Nickelodeon’s 24-hour network for teens, to his current role as GM of Nicktoons. Dawkins will run the day-to-day operations for the teen network, including the on-air programming, scheduling and marketing, and will work with MTV Networks’ Affiliate Sales organization on the channel’s distribution rollout. The announcement was made today by Sarah Levy, Chief Operating Officer, Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group, to whom he will continue to report. -
Nick Cannon Hosts “The Nightlife” Four New Specials This August on TeenNick

Airing every Thursday night in August from 9:30-10 p.m. (ET), The Nightlife will feature celebrity guests, including Ice Cube, Anna Kendrick, Travie McCoy, New Boyz, Brandon Routh and T.I., in an exclusive club setting with a grooving dance floor DJ’d by Cannon himself. Teen correspondents Aaron Fresh and Chloe Wang will give viewers the inside scoop on pop culture, with each episode culminating in a musical performance. Posted on Friday, July 9, 2010 by BryanDegrassi, the smash-hit teen series, will break new creative ground in its landmark 10th season on TeenNick this summer as it’s presented in a prime-time telenovela-style format for the first time in the show’s history. Following a new original two-hour TV movie titled “The Heat is On” airing Monday, July 19 (9 pm ET), Degrassi will premiere in a prime-time serialized format for six straight weeks (Mondays-Thursdays at 9 pm ET) through August 26. Additionally, TeenNick will air a weekly two-hour encore of the week’s past episodes each Friday night (9-11 pm ET). -

Nick also claims basic cable’s top spot in total day with kids 2-11 and persons 2+ for 2Q10. According to Nielsen Media Research (3/29/10-6/27/10), Nickelodeon averaged 2.2 million total viewers; a 3.4/1.2 million K2-11; a 3.0/649,000 K6-11; and 2.3/491,000 T9-14 for the quarter. -
“Degrassi: The Boiling Point” (Season 10) Premieres July 20 on TeenNick, After TV Movie on July 19

The marathon is leading up to the premiere of the tenth season, which will have a total of 48 episodes, double the normal amount for a season. -
