Steve Viksten, who wrote many episodes of Hey Arnold! including the theatrical movie, passed away Monday, June 23 at age 54.
Nicktoons and TeenNick are making a few changes to their line-ups starting this weekend. Rocket Power is added to TeenNick’s ’90s block and after being back just a little over a month, Danny Phantom is gone from Nicktoons as is T.U.F.F. Puppy. Kenan & Kel and All That also exit TeenNick.
Nickelodeon closed May as the top basic cable network in total day with Kids 2-11 (2.5/795K) and total viewers (1.5M), marking the net’s fifth consecutive month at the top.

Starting tomorrow, Nicktoons is making several significant changes to their line-up.
The Little Battlers eXperience (LBX™), an extremely popular Japanese television series and franchise, will debut in the U.S. on Nicktoons in 2014, announced today by Mr. Yuma Sakata, President and Chief Executive Officer, Dentsu Entertainment USA, Inc. The LBX franchise follows the adventures of miniature customizable robots and the kids who interact with them.
Saban’s Power Rangers get charged in the next season of the iconic franchise, Power Rangers Dino Charge. Debuting on Nickelodeon in 2015, this new season will deliver all-new dino-fueled action and adventure to fans of all ages. The series will roll out globally later that year. In addition, Bandai America Incorporated will continue to act as the global master toy licensee for the franchise, creating an all-new dinosaur themed product line.
Cartoon Network and Nicktoons are both making a few changes to their normal line-ups. Cartoon Network’s schedule changes take effect next week, while Nicktoons’ schedule alterations start Saturday.
Nicktoons is set to launch season two of the kickin’ animated series Wild Grinders, inspired by professional skateboarder and entrepreneur Rob Dyrdek’s (Fantasy Factory, Ridiculousness) real-life experiences, on Wednesday, Feb. 5, at 8:30 p.m. (ET).
Nickelodeon and the National Football League are teaming up to give kids and families behind-the-scenes access to the performances, games, events and excitement taking place in New York and New Jersey leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII, with Nickelodeon All Access Pass to Super Bowl XLVIII. Today, Jan. 30, Nickelodeon will begin rolling out Super Bowl-themed content across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons and the NickMom programming block on Nick Jr., as well as on the channels’ websites and the Nick App. Kids can log on to www.nick.com/superbowl to pick the team they want to win Super Bowl XLVIII, with the winning team announced prior to the game on Sunday, Feb. 2.
