During Summer 2014, bolstered by the premieres of original movies “Zapped” and “How to Build a Better Boy” and the launch of original comedy series “Girl Meets World”, Disney Channel swept Total Day for the 3rd-consecutive summer, ranking as TV’s #1 network for the 3rd summer in a row in Kids 2-11, 6th in Kids 6-11 and 9th in Tweens 9-14, and was the #1 cable TV network for the 3rd summer in a row in Total Viewers.
As has been the case for a while now, the kids cable networks aren’t making many big changes and are playing things pretty safe season-to-season. In days of yore, said networks would usually change things up for the summer months and then shake their schedules up again for the fall. Not so much any more.
It would seem that Disney Channel has made the extended weekly Disney Replay block a permanent thing. Through September, the block will continue to air on late-Wednesday nights (early Thursday mornings) from midnight through 6am ET/PT.

This September, Disney Channel has new episodes of Jessie, Austin & Ally, Girl Meets World, I Didn’t Do It, the season two premiere of Liv and Maddie and the season two finale and season three premiere of Dog With A Blog.
For the week of August 11, 2014, powered by Disney Channel Original Movie “How to Build a Better Boy” and near-record performance for original comedy “Girl Meets World,” Disney Channel swept Total Day.

In fond remembrance of one of the world’s greatest and most beloved actors, Robin Williams, Disney’s animated movie “Aladdin” will be presented SATURDAY, AUGUST 16 and SUNDAY, AUGUST 17 on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior. Williams voiced the 1992 film’s treasured character, Genie.
