A strange man witnesses the transformation and tells Julie, who finds out that there's a magical myth behind the statue and that, if the myth is true, the spell can be broken. THE TALE OF HIGHWAY 13 183 Craig and Justin are best friends, but complete opposites. Craig is wild and spontaneous, while Justin is conservative and reserved. After Craig breaks the side view mirror on Justin's car, the two go to the junkyard to look for a replacement. Instead of a mirror, they find two mysterious guys who, amazingly, convince Craig to buy a muscle car. Once Craig and Justin fix the car up, they discover something is pursuing them. In a race for their lives, the two boys learn who's chasing them and why. THE TALE OF THE LUNAR LOCUSTS 184 Jake is a varsity quarterback with a steady girlfriend, and he's the coolest guy at school. Tara, a pretty teenager who plays the violin, is performing at the dance. THE TALE OF THE NIGHT NURSE 191 A.J. and Nicki are staying at their grandfather's house while their parents are out of town. During their stay, they discover that there are ghosts haunting the house. They confront their grandfather and find out that a young girl who once lived in the house was murdered, and that the newspapers said it was her nurse who was responsible. When A.J. and Nicki investigate, they find that the ghost of the nurse is back and is out to get them. Now the girls must figure out a way to go back in time to save their own lives. THE TALE OF THE SILVER SIGHT 179-181 Gary, the founder of The Midnight Society, needs the group's help. Gary and Tucker's Grandpa Gene has suddenly died and Gary believes that his death is linked to a powerful charm called "The Silver Sight." The Midnight Society takes on the task of finding and destroying this evil charm, but many dangers provide terrifying obstacles along their journey. Are the kids in over their heads?
