Disney Junior relaunches ‘Miles’ 3rd season as “Mission Force One”

Premieres Tuesday, September 5

Lauded for inspiring young viewer’s imaginations about science, technology and space, Disney Junior’s “Miles from Tomorrowland” – the series created and executive-produced by Sascha Paladino, will premiere its third season with the new title “Mission Force One” – MONDAY, OCTOBER 16 on Disney Channel (9:30 a.m. EDT), Disney Junior (6:00 p.m. EDT) and the Disney Junior App.

The new season follows young adventurer Miles Callisto as he leads a highly skilled team of friends, each with their own unique abilities, on exciting outer space expeditions. Miles exemplifies science, his sister Loretta specializes in technology and their friends Mirandos, Blodger and Haruna focus on engineering, arts and math, respectively. Their stories introduce imaginative tools and technology, cool new spacesuits and space vehicles while depicting how Miles and his friends help ensure that the universe remains a welcoming, inclusive place for all species.

A series of eight “Mission Force One: Connect and Protect” shorts will also be available beginning Tuesday, September 5, on the Disney Junior App and will air throughout September on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.

Season three guest stars include: Yara Shahidi (“black-ish”) as Malison, a smart, swaggering alien thief; Felicia Day (“Supernatural”) as Grendel, a brilliant supervillain; and Colman Domingo (“Fear the Walking Dead”) as an alien creature named Cember. Recurring guest stars include:  legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin as Commander Copernicus; Mark Hamill (“Star Wars”) as Gadfly; Whoopi Goldberg (ABC’s “The View,” “Star Trek: The Next Generation”) as The GameMaster; Olivia Munn (“The Newsroom”) as Captain Phoebe Callisto; Bill Nye (“Bill Nye the Science Guy”) as Professor Rubicon; Wil Wheaton (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”) as Commander S’leet; and ABC News chief meteorologist Ginger Zee as Dr. Zephyr Skye. Emmy-nominated Sascha Paladino (“Henry Hugglemonster”) is creator and executive producer.

Experts from NASA and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the Space Tourism Society and Google serve as consultants on the series, which incorporates unique space and science facts into each storyline. “Mission Force One” is a production of Wild Canary Films in association with Disney Junior.
