“Dragon Ball Z Kai” Gains Re-Run Slot on Adult Swim

Anime is making a return to prime-time. After garnering excellent ratings as the lead show for Toonami, Adult Swim has decided to give Dragon Ball Z Kai a prime-time re-run slot, starting this Saturday (February 21st, 2015) at 8pm ET/PT, replacing the FOX comedy Sit Down, Shut Up. The re-runs will be starting with last week’s episode (Episode 11).
According to Jason DeMarco, co-creator and current head of Toonami, these showings will NOT contain Toonami branding, instead including regular Adult Swim branding throughout. New-to-Toonami/Adult Swim episodes of Dragon Ball Z Kai will still air every Saturday night/early Sunday morning at Midnight ET/PT.
