Nickelodeon Has More Shows on DVD Than You May Realize

Nick On DVD

Nickelodeon has more of their TV series complete on DVD than anyone seems to give them credit for.

Whether it’s through Paramount, Shout! Factory or Amazon.com’s CreateSpace (Manufactured On Demand), at least 30 of Nick’s series are either completely out on DVD, almost out with sets still being released or are coming out very soon. Add to that 13 more series that have a large number of episodes on DVD, but sadly aren’t complete.

As much complaining as some people may do about Nick not airing their older series in one form or another, they sure are good about getting a lot of them on DVD (and on services like Amazon Instant Video, but that’s another story). Sadly, some of these sets are either in limited supply or out of production and hard to find, but the majority of them are still available or are being produced as they are ordered (the Amazon MOD sets).

With new sets still rolling out, Nick’s showing no sign of slowing down their release of sets. This year alone we’ve seen full sets for Rocket Power, ChalkZone, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, My Brother and Me and TMNT to name a few, plus we’ve got upcoming sets for Shelby Woo and Robot and Monster.
