“Max & Shred” Coming to Nickelodeon October 6th
The new live-action Canadian series Max & Shred (which is airing this fall on YTV) is coming to Nickelodeon in the United States.
Starting Monday, Oct. 6 the series will air new episodes weeknights at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT). See the first promo for the show below:
Max & Shred stars Jonny Gray as Max Asher, a Jr. World Championship snowboarder, who moves to Colorado to train for the Winter Cup. He stays with a host family and shares a bedroom with science prodigy Alvin “Shred” Ackerman (Jake Goodman, Life With Boys).

Santa Monica, Calif. – Sept. 22, 2014 – Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids, and Breakthrough Entertainment debut the live-action, buddy-comedy series Max & Shred on Monday, Oct 6, at 7:30p.m. (ET/PT). The series chronicles the hilarious and unlikely friendship between Max Asher (Jonny Gray), a celebrity snowboarder, and Alvin “Shred” Ackerman (Jake Goodman), a science whiz-kid, who become roommates and instant “bros” when Max moves to Colorado to train for the Winter Cup. The two boys must work to become friends and learn to navigate the trials of teenage life from completely opposite points of view. Max & Shred airs Monday-Friday at 7:30p.m. (ET/PT).
This season on Max & Shred, the boys will find themselves in hilarious situations that everyday teens’ experience. From liking the same girl to navigating the crazy halls of high school to fighting over who gets a new room, Max and Shred may approach life differently but in the end, they always have each other’s back.
Leading up to the Oct. 6 premiere of Max & Shred, fans can visit www.nick.com/maxandshred to access exclusive sneak peeks, photo galleries, games, quizzes and video content. Viewers are encouraged to tweet #MaxandShred for all updates and social commentary. The series will be available for download and streaming on iTunes, Amazon, Xbox, Sony, Vudu, Nook, Google and Fios Flex View following the premiere. Max & Shred will air on Canada’s YTV beginning Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Max & Shred is created by writing partners Ben MacMillan and Josh Greenbaum whose credits include CW’s Swordfighting, CBS’s Homeland Insecurity and the Paramount feature film The Mascot. The series is executive produced by George Doty IV who is no stranger to the Nickelodeon family having written and co-executive produced some of the networks biggest hit shows including iCarly, Victorious and the beloved buddy-comedy series Drake & Josh.
