Beware the Batman

As if the news of Attack on Titan joining the Toonami lineup wasn’t enough for you, Toonami came back with more. In a very odd and stunning move, Toonami announced via Twitter that the Cartoon Network series Beware the Batman will be joining the block May 10th at 3am ET, a week after Attack on Titan‘s anticipated premiere. Due to this switch, the original Naruto series will be moved down to 3:30am ET, and Ghost in the Shell will be leaving the block.

Beware the Batman has had a troubled history, from being pulled off Cartoon Network’s line-up last October after episode 11’s airing, episodes 12 and 13 making their debuts on an officially released DVD of Season 1 Part 1 back in February, and episodes of the show being aired in advanced in New Zealand (heck the entire show was just recently leaked onto Amazon UK!).

It has been confirmed by Cartoon Network that all 26 episodes will be shown by Toonami. This marks the 5th American program to hit the block since its revival in 2012.

The new schedule can be found below:

  • 11:30pm – Attack on Titan
  • 12am – Bleach
  • 12:30am – Space Dandy
