NICKELODEON CONTINUES ITS STRONG RATINGS MOMENTUM WITH RECORD PERFORMANCES AND WINS THE WEEK WITH KIDS AND TOTAL VIEWERS

Sam & Cat, The Haunted Hathaways and The Thundermans Are Week’s Top Three Live-Action Shows with Kids; All Three Deliver Record Ratings

SpongeBob SquarePants is Week’s Top Animated Series; Paw Patrol, Dora the Explorer and Bubble Guppies are Top Preschool Series

NEW YORK – Jan. 14, 2014 – Nickelodeon closed the second week of 2014 (1/6/14-1/12/14) as the top basic cable net with Kids 2-11 (2.8/904K), Kids 6-11 (2.2/432K), Kids 2-5 (3.8/472K) and total viewers (1.7M). The network also posted double-digit increases with K2-11 (+12%), Kids 2-5 (+15%) and Kids 6-11 (+10%).

The network’s strong weekly ratings performance was driven by Saturday (Jan. 11) night premieres of its hit live-action roster. Sam & Cat, The Haunted Hathaways and The Thundermans all hit series highs and ranked as the top three live-action series for the week, respectively, with Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11. Sam & Cat is the number-one entertainment program for the second consecutive week with Kids 2-11 (6.0/1.9M) and Kids 6-11 (7.9/1.5M), posting a series high with the latter demo. The Haunted Hathaways set a series high with Kids 6-11 (6.9/1.3M), and ranked as the number-one show in its 8:30 p.m. (ET) time period with the demo. The Thundermans also posted a series high with Kids 6-11 (6.9/1.3M) and was the top show in its 9 p.m. time slot with Kids 6-11.

SpongeBob SquarePants is the top animated series for the week with Kids 2-11 (5.3/1.7M), Kids 6-11 (5.3/1.0M) and the number-one animated kids program with total viewers (3.0M).

Paw Patrol led the week as the number-one preschool series, averaging a 7.7/959K, followed closely by Dora the Explorer (6.3/786K) and Bubble Guppies (5.9/739K).
