Disney Channel Schedules “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West” Preview, Day of Movies for December 13
Disney Channel, Disney Junior (the channel) and Disney XD have altered the majority of their schedules for this Friday, December 13.
For Disney Channel, they have added an 11-minute preview episode of new preschool series Sheriff Callie’s Wild West to the schedule at 8:45am, 2pm and 7:20pm. Along with that, Disney will air six different movies throughout the day:
- 7:30am – Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas
- 9am – Cars
- 12pm – Ratatouille
- 3:10pm – Monsters, Inc.
- 5:40pm – The Princess and the Frog
- 7:30pm – Tangled
Also, a variety of Disney Junior series will air through the day, including Jake and the Never Land Pirates at 6am, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse at 6:30am and 11:30am, a new Octonauts Christmas special now at 11am, Sofia the First at 2:15pm and 4:50pm and Doc McStuffins at 2:45pm.
This new line-up from 6am-9:30pm replaces everything Disney Channel had originally scheduled for the day. It is also one of the few times Disney has aired preschool series throughout the day without a special primetime event.
In response to these changes, the 24/7 Disney Junior channel will also altered most of its schedule for the day. To soft-program around the Disney Channel specials, Disney Junior will air hour blocks of Charlie and Lola at 1pm, JoJo’s Circus at 2pm, Imagination Movers at 3pm, Rolie Polie Olie at 4pm, 3rd & Bird at 5pm, Timmy Time at 6pm, Charlie and Lola again at 7pm, Guess How Much I Love You at 8pm and The Hive at 9pm.
And not to feel left out, Disney XD will alter their programming for the day as well on Friday. From 4:30-7:30am, six episodes of Gravity Falls will air. Hour blocks of Phineas and Ferb, Jessie, Fish Hooks and more Phineas and Ferb will follow from 7:30-11:30am. Three episodes of Kickin’ It air at 11:30am followed by Mighty Med at 1pm. Lab Rats fills the 2pm hour, followed up by two-hours of Jessie. The movie Wendy Wu will still air from 5-7pm. A Wander Over Yonder two-hour block will then air from 7-9pm. More airings of Mighty Med, Lab Rats, Kickin’ It and Jessie air throughout the night from 9pm-6am.
