Disney Junior celebrates Halloween with spooktacular episodes of “Doc McStuffins” and “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” cable TV’s #1 and #2 series among kids 2-5 respectively, premiering this October on Disney Channel. Emmy Award-winning actress Carol Kane (“Taxi”) and Tiffani Thiessen (“White Collar”) guest star as witches, alongside recurring guest star Tori Spelling (“Craft Wars”) as the Pirate Princess, in the special episode of “Jake and the Never Land Pirates.”
Beginning WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, DisneyJunior.com invites families to visit DisneyJunior.com/Halloween where parents can upload videos of their child explaining and acting out what he or she wants to be for Halloween for a chance to be shown on air. The videos will be selected at random and will be shown every Friday on Disney Channel and Disney Junior throughout the month of October. The site will also feature Halloween-themed music videos, games and coloring pages based on favorite Disney Junior series.
Disney Junior’s Halloween kicks off with “Jake and the Never Land Pirates on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5 (8:30 – 9:00 a.m., ET/PT). In the new episode titled “Tricks, Treats and Treasures/Season of the Sea Witch,” Jake and crew invite Captain Hook to join them as they “Trick and Treasure” throughout Never Land. Then, in the second story, Izzy dresses up as the Pirate Princess to fool the Sea Witch (voiced by Carol Kane), who has returned to Never Land to turn the real Pirate Princess (voiced by Tori Spelling) into gold. The group succeeds in transforming the wicked Sea Witch into Misty the Wonderful Witch (voiced by Tiffani Thiessen).
The themed “Doc McStuffins” episode titled “Boo-Hoo to You/It’s Glow Time” debuts FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12 (10:00 – 10:30 a.m., ET/PT). In the episode, Doc and the toys help a pop-up toy ghost overcome his fear of Halloween and then, Doc diagnoses Donny’s toy glow-in-the-dark monster with “No-glow-atosis” and prescribes more time outside in the sun.
Also on Friday, October 12, iTunes will launch two new Disney Junior Halloween compilations, each containing five themed episodes of favorite Disney Junior series including “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” “Doc McStuffins,” “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” and “Little Einsteins,” among others.
