Nickelodeon has decided not to renew freshman comedy How to Rock for a second season, the show’s executive producer David Israel blogged on his Tumblr.

This marks Nick’s third live-action cancelation this year, behind iCarly and VICTORiOUS.

Israel wrote “NIckelodeon is going through a transition right now” and “[they have] many new shows in production and development that they believe will better suit their audience.”

He reminded viewers that season one has 26 episodes and only 17 have aired so far, meaning nine are left. The first of the new episodes is scheduled to premiere on September 22 with the now series finale airing on December 8 – a Christmas special.
