Disney Channel: Total Day and Prime Highlights

During the week of April 9, 2012, Disney Channel swept the competition in Total Day for the 2nd consecutive week, ranking as cable TV’s #1 network in Total Viewers (1.60 million) and TV’s #1 network across all core kid demographics, Kids 2-11 (931,000/2.3 rating), Kids 6-11 (618,000/2.5 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (499,000/2.1 rating). In fact, this marked Disney Channel’s 44th consecutive week ranking as TV’s #1 network on a total day basis in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 (dates back to June 13, 2011) and the 6th time in the previous 7 weeks in Kids 2-11. It was the #1 cable TV network in Total Viewers for the 5th time in the prior 6 weeks.

Disney Channel towered over Nickelodeon by double-digit percentages for the 23rd consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (+34% – 618,000 vs. 461,000), for the 25th consecutive week in Tweens 9-14 (+43% – 499,000 vs. 350,000), and for the 1st time in the network’s history held a double-digit percent advantage for two straight weeks in Kids 2-11 (+10% – 931,000 vs. 846,000).

In Prime, Disney Channel was cable TV’s #1 network on a weekly basis for the 360th consecutive week in Kids 6-11 (1.05 million/4.3 rating), or close to 7 years in the key demographic. In Tweens 9-14 (860,000/3.6 rating), the network posted its 95th straight #1 weekly ranking, and was #1 for the 357th time in the previous 360 weeks overall.
