With the premiere of Disney Channel Original Movie “Frenemies” during the week of January 9, 2012, Disney Channel was again the go-to network across all TV in Total Day, sweeping #1 ranks for the 2nd consecutive week in Kids 2-11 (919,000/2.2 rating), Kids 6-11 (580,000/2.4 rating), Boys 6-11 (247,000/2.0 rating) and Tweens 9-14 (475,000/2.0 rating).

Impressively, this marked Disney Channel’s 31st consecutive week as TV’s #1 network on a Total Day basis in Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 (dates back to week of June 13, 2011), the 3rd time in the previous 4 weeks in Kids 2-11, and the 8th time in the prior 9 weeks in Boys 6-11.

Moreover, Disney Channel tied Nickelodeon as the #1 cable network in Total Day in Total Viewers (0.6 rating). Notably, this represented the 3rd time in 4 weeks the networks tied Nickelodeon based on rating, and the 7th time in the previous 9 weeks overall.

Disney Channel exceeded Nickelodeon by 29% in Kids 6-11 (580,000 vs. 450,000) and by 47% in Tweens 9-14 (475,000 vs. 323,000), marking the network’s 10th week in a row boasting a double-digit percent advantage in Kids 6-11, and the 12th straight week in Tweens 9-14. Further out, this was the 29th time in the previous 31 weeks the network has surpassed Nickelodeon by double-digits in Tweens 9-14, and the 17th time in the previous 19 weeks in Kids 6-11.

In Prime, Disney Channel has ranked as cable’s TV #1 network on a weekly basis for over 6-and-a-half years in Kids 6-11 (1.1 million/4.6 rating), or 347 consecutive weeks. In Tweens 9-14 (924,000/3.9 rating), the network has been #1 for 82 straight weeks, and for the 344th time in the previous 347 weeks overall.
