Nickelodeon Gives Viewers “10 Nights of Frights” This Halloween

NICKELODEON’S “10 NIGHTS OF FRIGHT” TREATS VIEWERS TO ALL-NEW HALLOWEEN-THEMED PREMIERES, BEGINNING FRIDAY, OCT. 21

New York, Oct. 11, 2011- Nickelodeon counts down to Halloween with “10 Nights of Fright,” featuring holiday-themed programming across all of its networks. The shrieks and shrills begin with an all-new SpongeBob SquarePants “Ghoul Fools” premiering Friday, Oct. 21, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Wake up howling on Saturday, Oct. 22, to the premiere of Fanboy and Chum Chum “There Will Be Shrieks” at 10:30 a.m. (ET/PT). The non-stop screams continue into the night with the world scream-iere of the brand-new TV movie, Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT). In addition, the Nickelodeon classic Are You Afraid of the Dark? makes its way to TeenNick on Friday, Oct. 28, at 10:00 p.m. (ET).

Halloween-themed programming continues on Saturday, Oct. 29, with haunted premieres of Power Rangers Samurai “Party Monsters” at 12:00 p.m. (ET/PT) and a brand-new episode of Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures “Epic Haunting” at 9:30 p.m. (ET/PT). On Sunday, Oct. 30, Nickelodeon will premiere the animated movie Monster High: Fright On! at 1:00 p.m. (ET/PT).

Nick Preschool treats tots to three new Halloween-themed premieres on Monday, Oct. 24, beginning with Dora the Explorer “Halloween Parade” at 9:30 a.m. (ET), Bubble Guppies “Haunted House Party” at 11:00 a.m. (ET) and Fresh Beat Band “Ghost Band” at 1:30 p.m. (ET).

Nick at Nite will feature family favorites full of spine-chilling terror and laughs with holiday-themed episodes of Everybody Hates Chris, Family Matters, Friends, George Lopez, Home Improvement and That 70’s Show from Saturday, Oct. 29 – Monday, Oct. 31.

TeenNick revives the spooky Nickelodeon classic Are You Afraid of the Dark? giving viewers the chance to vote for their favorite episodes at http://90sareallthat.teennick.com/ beginning Friday, Oct. 21. Winning episodes will air during “UPick with Stick” on Friday, Oct. 28, at 10:00 p.m. (ET). Additionally, from Monday, Oct. 24 – Monday, Oct. 31, frightening episodes of old-school Nickelodeon shows currently airing in TeenNick’s “The ’90s Are All That” block will haunt those who dare to watch.

Nicktoons embraces the scary spirit of the season with “HalloMEAN!” featuring encores of themed series all weekend long, plus the network premiere of The Troop with action-packed episodes on Halloween day.

Nick.com gets into the ghoulish fun this Halloween with weekly launches of four all-new mini games featuring SpongeBob SquarePants and the Bikini Bottom gang. “Ghoul Getter” kicks off on Monday, Oct. 10, followed by “Zombie Breakout!” on Oct. 17, “Plunder Blunder” on Oct. 24 and “Fang in There” on Oct. 31.

Friday, Oct. 21

8:00 p.m. – SpongeBob Square Pants (Premiere) “Ghoul Fools” – SpongeBob and Patrick find a houseboat haunted by a crew of ghost pirates and get caught in the feud between them and the Flying Dutchman.

Saturday, Oct. 22

10:30 a.m. – Fanboy and Chum Chum (Premiere) “There Will Be Shrieks” – Fanboy & Chum Chum hit the streets for the ultimate night of treats, but find themselves getting the ultimate trick instead. A mysterious and spooky figure named Mr. Trick dupes the boys into eating a magical piece of candy that steals away all their taste – forever! Now they have to collect one thousand screams for the creature if they ever want to taste candy again!

8:00 p.m. – Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred (TV Movie Premiere) – The two-hour movie stars Internet sensation Cruikshank in the title role and showcases Modern Family’s Ariel Winter as Talia, WWE’s John Cena as Fred’s dad and Victorious’ Daniella Monet as Bertha. The movie follows Fred Figglehorn after he discovers that his favorite music teacher has been replaced by a new instructor, Mr. Devlin (Seth Morris). Fred gets even more upset when he finds out that Kevin (Jake Weary), his arch enemy, is Mr. Devlin’s star pupil. Just when Fred thinks his situation couldn’t get any worse, Mr. Devlin moves next door and begins dating his mom. After seeing his new neighbor bury something in his backyard, it dawns on Fred that Mr. Devlin is a vampire! Fred’s new mission is to convince the rest of the school of Devlin’s true identity.

Monday, Oct. 24

9:30 a.m. – Dora the Explorer (Premiere) “Halloween Parade” – Dora and Boots are out trick-or-treating on Halloween when a cute Little Monster surprises them. Little Monster needs to be home before the big clock strikes 12, so Dora and Boots help him along the way. On the spooky journey, the group travels through the Pumpkin Patch, ride on a broomstick through the Good Witch’s Forest, and reach the Monster House just in time for the big Halloween party.

11:00 a.m. – Bubble Guppies (Premiere) “Haunted House Party” – The Bubble Guppies are invited to a costume party at a haunted house. Molly’s going as a witch, Nonny as a vampire and Goby as a werewolf, but who’s that in the spooky ghost costume?

1:30 p.m. – The Fresh Beat Band (Premiere) “Ghost Band” – The Fresh Beats run into a ghost band when they get a gig to play in a western town. They face-off against the ghosts in a musical showdown and discover that the ghosts are misunderstood. They work together to bring folks back to the town.

Saturday, Oct. 29

12:00 p.m. – Power Rangers Samurai (Premiere) “Party Monsters” – Halloween is every Nighlok’s favorite day of the year so the creepiest creatures from the Netherworld are clamoring to get into the scariest party ever and trade war stories about their battles with the Samurai Power Rangers.

9:30 p.m. – Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures (Premiere) “Epic Haunting” – Bucket and Skinner’s latest plan to achieve epic status requires them to spend the whole night in the town’s legendary haunted house. They immediately face one terrifying chill after another, until they discover that a jealous Aloe is behind the whole thing. But when the scares continue even after Aloe’s plan is revealed, all the guys face their fear that the house may actually be haunted.

Monday, Oct. 30

1:00 p.m. – Monster High: Fright On! (Network Premiere) – When other monster schools are merged with Monster High, our ghouls find themselves up against a Normie administrator determined to drive a stake into the harmony of the school, and magnify old grievances in order to isolate and separate the monster groups. This agenda of intolerance can only be cured by Frankie, Clawdeen, Draculaura and their ghoulfriends as they strive to prove that the culture clash of Fur and Fang will not inevitably lead to a war within the walls of the school.

Monday, Oct. 10

Ghoul Getter – SpongeBob has been turned into a ghost by the Flying Dutchman. Now he’s got to scare his way through Bikini Bottom and make his way back up to the Flying Dutchman’s ship. Players will have to bounce from higher and higher to keep their momentum and reach new heights.

Monday, Oct. 17

Zombie Breakout! –The Bikini Bottom anchovies have mysteriously turned into Zombies! Playing as SpongeBob, it’s your job to rescue all your Bikini Bottom friends bring them to safety.

Monday, Oct. 24

Plunder Blunder – SpongeBob is being chased by the ghost crew of a visiting ghost pirate captain. The Captain Ghost pirate is after SpongeBob and wants to make him a permanent part of his ghostly crew. Meanwhile, the Flying Dutchman has some unfinished issues to resolve with this visiting crew – they stole his gold doubloons hundreds of years ago and he’s on a rampage. Players must save SpongeBob and help return the stolen treasures.

Monday, Oct. 31

Fang In There – On All Hallows’ Eve, Patrick turns into a vampire and is after SpongeBob! In this action game, players must run away from the vampire and avoid all traps to make it to safety.
