Among the highlights: its best-ever (since launch on 10-10-10) Saturday performance in key target demos; best year-to-date weekend performance (Total Day, Saturday and Sunday) in virtually all key target demos; and best year-to-date weekly performance (Monday through Sunday, Total Day) among the network's target demo of Kids 6-11.

June 1, 2011 | Nickelodeon closed May as basic cable’s number-one total day network with total viewers (2.0 million), kids 2-11 (3.1/1.1 million), kids 6-11 (2.6/571,000), tweens 9-14 (1.9/407,000) and kids 2-5 (3.9/563,000). Nick’s win was driven by hit live-action series, Victorious and ratings phenomenon, SpongeBob SquarePants, which rank as the top live-action and animated series, respectively, with kids and tweens across all TV for the month. Nickelodeon also bested its closest competitor by double digits with total viewers (+31%), kids 2-11 (+24%) and kids 2-5 (+70%).

June 1, 2011 | Across the month of May 2011, Cartoon Network’s Monday night line-up of original animated comedies—The Amazing World of Gumball (7:30 p.m.), Adventure Time (8 p.m.), Regular Show (8:30 p.m.) and Problem Solverz (8:45 p.m.)—each ranked #1 in their timeslots on all television among all key boy demos. The night posted double-digit gains among all kids and boys demos, with kids 6-11 delivery (832,000) increasing by 26%, kids 9-14 delivery (620,000) increasing by 37%, and kids 2-11 (1,088,000) increasing by 15%.

June 1, 2011 | Lifted by record setting performances by key original series “Pair of Kings” and “Zeke and Luther,” Disney XD posted its biggest May in the network’s history in Total Day across the board -- Total Viewers (256,000), Kids 6-14 (132,000), Boys 6-14 (84,000), Kids 6-11 (106,000), Boys 6-11 (67,000), Tweens 9-14 (85,000) and Boys 9-14 (55,000) -- and with double-digit percent gains, emerged as the month’s year-to-year growth leader among all kid cable networks for the 2nd consecutive month.

June 1, 2011 | During May 2011, holding the month’s Top 2 TV telecasts with the series finale of “The Suite Life on Deck” and preview of upcoming original series “A.N.T. Farm,” Disney Channel stood as TV’s No. 1 network in Total Day for the 13th consecutive month among Tweens 9-14 (443,000/1.8 rating). In Total Viewers (1.6 million) and Kids 6-11 (555,000/2.2 rating), Disney Channel delivered its best May ever, posting its 7th consecutive month of year-to-year increases – the longest streak among fully-distributed kids networks.
