Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for November 29 – December 5, 2010

Cartoon Network’s prime time performance over the week increased across all kid demos compared to the same 2009 time period—average kids 6-11 delivery (535,000) grew by 11% and ratings (2.2) by 10%, kids 2-11 delivery (775,000) grew by 15% and ratings (1.9) by 19%, and kids 9-14 delivery (407,000) grew by 3%and ratings (1.7) by 6%.  Total Day kids 2-11 delivery (481,000) and ratings (1.2) also increased by 3% and 9%, respectively.

Monday night’s line-up (8-10 p.m.) of animated comedies also continued to rank as the #1 television destination for boys 2-11, 6-11 and 9-14.  Charting dramatic double-digit growth vs. the 2009 time period, average kids 6-11 delivery (597,000) increased by 79% and ratings (2.4) by 71%, kids 2-11 delivery (834,000) increased by 70% and ratings (2.0) by 67%, and kids 9-14 delivery (502,000) increased by 67% and ratings (2.1) by 76%.  Equally impressive, boys 6-11 delivery (472,000) increased by 89%, boys 2-11 delivery (628,000) increased by 75% and boys 9-14 delivery (405,000) increased by 90%.

The 2010 Annie Award-nominated ADVENTURE TIME (8 p.m.) kicked off Monday’s performance with huge gains vs. 2009—kids 6-11 delivery (941,000) increased by132% and ratings (3.8) by 124%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,254,000) increased by 90% and ratings (3.0) by 88%, and kids 9-14 delivery (666,000) increased by 81% and ratings (2.7) by 80%.  Similarly strong, boys 6-11 delivery (711,000) improved by 153%, boys 2-11 delivery (930,000) improved by 100% and boys 9-14 delivery (509,000) improved by 94%.

Also nominated for a 2010 Annie Award, REGULAR SHOW (Monday, 8:15 p.m.) scored triple-digit gains across the board: kids 6-11 delivery (959,000) improved by139%; kids 2-11 delivery (1,289,000) improved by 102%, kids 9-14 delivery (783,000) improved by 125%, boys 6-11 delivery (741,000) improved by 156%, boys 2-11 delivery (970,000) improved by 116% and boys 9-14 delivery (619,000) improved by 150%.  MAD (8:30 p.m.) also continued its growth trajectory among targeted kids and boys—kids 6-11 delivery (801,000) grew by 99%, kids 2-11 delivery (1,089,000) grew by 73%, kids 9-14 delivery (697,000) grew by 06%, boys 6-11 delivery (629,000) grew by 106%, boys 2-11 delivery (817,000) grew by 76% and boys 9-14 delivery (577,000) grew by 121%.

Wednesday night’s schedule of original live-action alternative programming (7-10 p.m.) also achieved double-digit growth among key kids demos vs. last year’s time period ranging between 10% and 18%.  DUDE, WHAT WOULD HAPPEN (8 p.m.) posted solid growth among all demos: kids 6-11 delivery (591,000) grew by24%, kids 2-11 delivery (727,000) grew by 24%, kids 9-14 delivery (501,000) grew by 37%, boys 6-11 delivery (522,000) grew by 32%, boys 2-11 delivery (606,000) grew by 36%, and boys 9-14 delivery (412,000) grew by 39%.  DESTROY BUILD DESTROY (8:30 p.m.) scored similar gains across the board—kids 6-11 delivery (554,000) increased by 29%, kids 2-11 delivery (645,000) increased by 13%, kids 9-14 delivery (457,000) increased by 32%, boys 6-11 delivery (554,000) increased by 29%, boys 2-11 delivery (546,000) increased by 27% and boys 9-14 delivery (367,000) increased by 26%.

Friday night’s animated action-adventure block (7-10 p.m.) also posted considerable gains vs. the 2009 time period: kids 6-11 delivery (560,000) improved by 6%, kids 2-11 delivery (785,000) improved by 18%, boys 6-11 delivery (497,000) improved by 20%, boys 2-11 delivery (617,000) improved by 18%, and boys 9-14 delivery (413,000) improved by 13%.  BEN 10: ULTIMATE ALIEN (7 p.m.) attracted significant growth, with kids 6-11 delivery (616,000) increasing by 12%, kids 2-11 delivery (874,000) increasing by 24%, boys 6-11 delivery (557,000) increasing by 41%, boys 2-11 delivery (697,000) increasing by 35% and boys 9-14 delivery (447,000) increasing by 33%.  SYM-BIONIC TITAN (8 p.m.) also earned double-digit gains among key demos: kids 6-11 delivery (688,000) advanced by 36%, kids 2-11 delivery (919,000) advanced by 38%, kids 9-14 delivery (551,000) advanced by 19%, boys 6-11 delivery (610,000) advanced by 59%, boys 2-11 delivery (746,000) advanced by 48% and boys 9-14 delivery (491,000) advanced by 57%.  And GENERATOR REX posted solid double-digit gains as well—kids 6-11 delivery (639,000) expanded by 38%, kids 2-11 delivery (878,000) expanded by 43%, kids 9-14 delivery (552,000) expanded by 27%, boys 6-11 delivery (563,000) expanded by 42%, boys 2-11 delivery (695,000) expanded by 35% and boys 9-14 delivery (478,000) expanded by 41%.
