Nick at Nite Premieres 2nd Season of “Glenn Martin, DDS” on Friday, June 11
Posted on Friday, May 14, 2010 by BryanNick at Nite will kick off the second season of its original stop-motion animated comedy series, Glenn Martin, DDS, on Friday, June 11, at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT) with all-new episodes packed with celebrity guest stars including Bret Michaels, Mel Brooks, Fergie, Kristen Bell, Sean Hayes, Betty White, Jimmy Kimmel, John Corbett, Fran Drescher, Bradley Whitford, Cheri Oteri, MC Hammer, Jason Alexander, George Takei, Howie Mandel, Don Johnson, Ty Burrell, Ashley Tisdale, Jim Parsons, two-time Emmy Award winner Bryan Cranston and Oscar nominated actresses Gabourey Sibide and Ellen Page, among others. Glenn Martin, DDS’ all-star lead voice cast will also return, including Kevin Nealon (Weeds, Anger Management) as Glenn Martin, Catherine O’Hara (For Your Consideration, Chicken Little) as Jackie Martin and Judy Greer (27 Dresses, Arrested Development) as Wendy Park. The Annie Award nominated series, from Tornante Animation, airs regularly Fridays at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT). -
Saban Brings “Power Rangers” Franchise to Nickelodeon (Press Release)
Posted on Thursday, May 13, 2010 by BryanNickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids, and SCG Power Rangers LLC, an affiliate of Saban Brands, have partnered to make Nick the U.S. television platform for Power Rangers, the long-running kids’ TV phenomenon now heading into its 18th television season. The partnership marks the return of the global franchise to its original developer, Haim Saban, who developed and produced the original “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” series in 1993. -
The Hub Announces Two Additions to Their Senior Staff

Mark J. Kern joins The Hub as Senior Vice President, Communications and John P. Roberts as Senior Vice President, Digital Content & Cross-platform Entertainment. Both executives will report directly to Loesch and their positions represent the completion of the senior staff for the Discovery-Hasbro joint venture. -

Power Rangers Reacquired by Saban, Moves to Nickelodeon & Nicktoons Later This Year, New Series in 2011
Posted on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 by BryanHaim Saban’s Saban Capital Group has bought back the rights to the Power Rangers franchise from The Walt Disney Company. The 700-episode series has been sold to Viacom’s Nickelodeon and Nicktoons networks, along with a new 18th season, which begins production this summer. The new season will consist of 20 episodes and will air on Nickelodeon in 2011. -
Cartoon Network Ratings Highlights for May 3 – 9, 2010

Compared to the same time period in 2009, average kids 6-11 prime time delivery (501,000) and ratings (2.0) grew by 25%, kids 2-11 prime time delivery (757,000) grew by 28% and ratings (1.8) by 20%, and kids 9-14 prime time delivery (347,000) grew by 16% and ratings (1.4) by 17%. -
Disney Channel Ratings Highlights for May 3 – 9, 2010
Posted on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 by BryanBoasting the week’s No. 1 TV telecast in Tweens 9-14 with “Good Luck Charlie,” Disney Channel was the No. 1 network in Total Day for the 2nd consecutive week in the key demo (443,000/1.8 rating – tie). In Prime, Disney Channel was cable’s No. 1 network in Kids 6-11 (906,000/3.7 rating), Tweens 9-14 (767,000/3.1 rating) and Kids 6-14 (1.2 million/3.3 rating). This week marked the net’s 262nd consecutive win in Kids 6-11 and 259th straight win in Kids 6-14, with the streak at 258 out of 259 weeks with Tweens 9-14. -
Nickelodeon Ratings Highlights for May 3 – 9, 2010
Posted on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 by BryanNickelodeon notched another weekly ratings win as basic cable’s number-one total day network, driven by another top-rankingiCarly (Saturday, May 8, 8 p.m. ET/PT). iCarly took basic cable’s top entertainment spot among total viewers for a second straight week (5/3/10-5/9/10). iCarlydrew 4.4 million total viewers with the new episode “iBelieve in Bigfoot”. The episode averaged 8.6/2.0 million kids 6-11, 7.0/1.5 million tweens 9-14 and 7.0/2.5 million kids 2-11. Year to date, iCarly ranks at the number-one live-action series with kids 2-11. -

Dragon Ball Z Kai Premieres May 24 on Nicktoons
Posted on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 by BryanComing off its most-watched and highest-rated first quarter ever with boys 6-11 and 9-14, Nicktoons launches the U.S. premiere of Dragon Ball Z Kai with a special premiere week of back-to-back episodes Monday, May 24, through Thursday, May 27, from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET. The latest chapter in the Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball Z Kai is a re-edited rendition of Goku's efforts to save Earth from destruction with the help of his friends and the seven magic Dragon Balls. The 99-episode series will continue to roll out Monday through Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET. -
